Alabama raced out to a 21-3 lead in Gainesville and just about everyone expected the Crimson Tide to just cruise to victory.

Florida battled back and made it a game, putting within two in the fourth quarter but the Gators couldn’t add the two-point conversion and that’s how things ended up. The Gators came close, but the Crimson Tide willed themselves to victory in the final minutes, picking up a big first down and that left Florida with just one final play with five seconds left and it resulted in a sack.

Alabama was able to hang on and pick up one of the best wins of the season and now the Tide have victories over Miami and Florida en route to a 3-0 record.

Nick Saban didn’t look all that happy after the win and that’s exactly what you’d expect from the old ball coach after surrendered a big lead after a beautiful first quarter. He expects big things from this team and so do we.

The Tide are No. 1 until proven otherwise.
