Boise State Football: 3 players who deserve game ball vs. Oklahoma State
1. Khalil Shakir, WR
Khalil Shakir was one of the few bright spots on the offensive side of the ball for the Broncos against Oklahoma State.
Shakir finished the game with both a team-high in receptions at eight for 78 yards on the night. The senior wideout came into this game off a career-high with 166 receiving yards last week in the blowout victory over UTEP.
Shakir had good seasons in 2019 and last year in 2020. In 2019 the Murrieta, Calif., native had 60 receptions for 834 yards and six touchdowns. While in 2020 he had 52 receptions for 719 yards and six touchdowns.
The senior receiver already has 335 yards receiving on 20 receptions, and two touchdowns in 2021. He is on pace to set all new career-highs in his final season in Boise.
