11. Indiana 0-1,1-2

It is not easy having expectations. The Indiana Hoosiers are finding that out the hard way. No coming from underneath or being the plucky underdog this season for the Hoosiers. Indiana dropped their second of three games this season to Cincinnati.

Even with a healthy Michael Penix, the offense looks out of sync. The Hoosiers are playing good defense, but the offense needs to get it together. Michael Penix did not play well in Indiana’s loss to Cincinnati, going 17-40. The passing game has to get better.

10. Purdue 2-1

Purdue’s offense was neutralized in their 27-13 loss to Notre Dame this weekend. The running game was non-existent against Notre Dame, which hurt the Boilermakers’ offense. The injury to Alexander Horvath hurts the Boilermakers run game.

Neither quarterback was that great either. Aidan O’Connell threw two interceptions, and Jack Plummer needed 36 pass attempts to throw for 187 yards. To make matters worse, wide receiver David Bell is in concussion protocol.

9. Rutgers 3-0

The fighting Greg Schiano’s are undefeated in this early season. These are the games the Scarlet Knights need to win if they have any chance at going to a bowl game this postseason. They notched a win against FCS opponent Delaware this weekend, but the gauntlet begins next weekend.

Rutgers gets Michigan, Ohio State, and Michigan State over the next three weeks. They are not going to win all three of those games. Rutgers is going to play hard and give all three teams all they can handle. Who’s to say they can’t pull off at least one upset?
