Heisman Trophy Candidate No. 2: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

It’s really hard to drop someone after they lead their team to win over the No. 11 team in the country, which is what Bryce Young did for Alabama on Saturday against Florida.

The Bama defense certainly did its part and got a key stop on a two-point conversion that helped the Crimson Tide hold on. Young also played a big role especially as Alabama grabbed an early lead.

Behind three touchdown passes from Young, Alabama built a 21-3 advantage but after that, the offense did stall a little. Young was limited and Florida was actually able to force some three-and-outs, which gave the offense a chance to sustain some scoring drives.

Young finished the game with 233 yards and he led Alabama on an important scoring drive in the fourth quarter. He also has solid numbers for the year with 10 touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Young also looks the part of a Heisman trophy candidate. He makes some incredible throws and Alabama is winning because of him, not in spite of him.

At the same time, he hasn’t been quite as spectacular in the last two weeks, and right now, there is one guy in college football that is stealing the show.
