2. Logan Bonner continues his career year

Junior quarterback Logan Bonner, the Arkansas State transfer, followed his coach to Utah State and they’re recreating the success they shared together with the Red Wolves.

They’re actually not just recreating, they’re improving their already established recipe.

Bonner has improved in nearly every statistical category since his arrival in Logan, Utah. Last season, with Arkansas State, Bonner threw 1.6 touchdowns per game, completing 59 percent of his passes. This season, with the Aggies, he’s on pace to throw 2.3 touchdowns per game and complete 65 percent of his passes.

The Aggies will need him to keep up the excellent play. If he gets off to a great start, it’ll create plenty of running room for junior running back Calvin Tyler, Jr. to add to his season totals of four rushing touchdowns and 288 yards gained.

Boise State gives up 201.7 rushing yards per game, so expect Bonner to create some opportunities for his running back to slice through the porous defense.
