2. SMU Football RB Ulysses Bentley IV has a breakout game vs TCU

Sophomore running back Ulysses Bentley has 33 carries on the season for 250 yards and one touchdown. If the Horned Frogs find a way to subdue QB Tanner Mordecai, then Bentley will have to step up to get the ball down the field.

Bentley is capable of having a big game because he had a few just last year. In 2020, Bentley accumulated 913 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. He ran for 100+ yards in four different games.

This season, Head Coach Sonny Dykes is looking for Bentley to focus on not getting frustrated on small yardage gains.

“The biggest thing Ulysses did for us last year is made big plays. Needed to get more consistent as far as hitting it, getting downhill and making two or three yards sometimes instead of losing yards on some indecision that he’s had in the past so he’s improved that way,” Dykes stated in comments captured by Pony Stampede.

Look for Bentley to give exactly what Dykes needs from him in this tough Week 4 matchup.
