1 . The SMU Football wins the 100th Battle for the Iron Skillet

SMU is looking for its first back-to-back win against TCU since 1992 and 1993. The Mustangs won the last meeting in 2019, a game they won 41-38.

QB Tanner Mordecai will prove too much for the TCU defense, a squad that gave up 442 yards against California in their most recent game.

SMU will have to find a way to slow down junior TCU QB Max Duggan, who helped the Horned Frogs accumulate 79 total points in the team’s first two games of the season.

If Duggan gets going early, it’ll be tough for SMU to climb their way back into this game on the road.

However, if SMU football can put all these pieces together and play solid defense, they’ll come out on top in the 100th annual Battle of the Iron Skillet.
