Winner: Wake Forest (Up to No. 24)

Say this with me: Wake Forest just might be the best team in the ACC. That is not a crazy statement to make with how terrible this conference has looked and Wake plays disciplined football. This is an offense that can score and they held a high-scoring Virginia team to 17 points on Friday night.

With Clemson off to a slow start, there is a big opportunity ahead for the Demon Deacons. This is a team that is building off of the success that head coach Dave Clawson has had over his tenure and they are going to be a fun team to watch for the rest of the season.

Winner: Notre Dame (Up to No. 9)

The Fighting Irish have had an interesting season so far. They played closer than expected games against bad teams like Florida State and Toledo and beat Purdue. Nobody really knew what to make of Notre Dame through the first few weeks, but they proved they are still a really good team yesterday.

Notre Dame was helped a lot by a putrid Wisconsin offense, but this is still a big win for the Fighting Irish. They have a tough schedule ahead in October, starting with this Saturday against Cincinnati. People may not like it, but given the craziness of this season, Notre Dame is very much in the playoff discussion.
