Texas A&M was handed their first loss of the season against Arkansas on Saturday afternoon. Is it all doom and gloom in Aggieland now that they are 3-1?

The Aggies were handed their first loss to Arkansas in nine straight seasons and many fans on social media were in absolute shock. They were unable to understand that Arkansas may have just been a better team and were ready to fire anyone and everyone involved with the Texas A&M football program. The negative criticism was all over the place and you would have thought the Aggies lost by 50.

What hot takes do we have about the Aggies? Let’s get into it.

3. The offensive line needs some serious help. Now.

Texas A&M football’s offensive line needs some kind of help or something. It doesn’t help that they are without two starters in Luke Matthews and Layden Robinson, but overall they couldn’t make holes outside of the 67-yard run by Spiller and couldn’t protect an already struggling Zach Calzada. Calzada finished with 151 yards passing and no touchdowns. He was sacked 3 times. It was not a good day for the quarterback and his offensive line was a big part of why. Did Calzada make some bad decisions? Sure, but he needs help.

To put it plainly, the Aggies need some help on the offensive line or they aren’t going to make it very far this year as they won’t be able to meet anyone offensively and their defense — which we will discuss in a minute — can only take them so far.
