2. Florida State recruiting is going to take a massive hit

It wasn’t long ago that FSU was bringing in top recruits such as Jameis Winston, Dalvin Cook, Jalen Ramsey, Cam Akers, and other top four and five star recruits to the program.

Since Jimbo Fisher left for Texas A&M However, things have not been the same. The Seminoles have not had a top 10 recruiting class since 2017, and have regressed in recruiting rankings each year since.

Right now, however, they currently rank No. 10 in the 2022 recruiting class according to 24/7 Sports, headlined by the No. 1 CB prospect Travis Hunter of Suwanee, GA. He has been committed to the Seminoles since March 2020.

With the way the season has gone for FSU, will Hunter and the other top recruits keep their commitments? Or will they choose another college football school such as Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, or neighboring Florida or Miami?

Whatever happens, this start to the season might not have the best impact on FSU recruiting going forward, and the coaching staff will have their work cut out for them if they want to convince recruits that they can compete for the ACC and College Football Playoff if they come down to Tallahassee.
