1. Sam Pittman’s magic finally runs out

It doesn’t seem like anyone or anything can stop the Arkansas Razorbacks this season. Head coach Sam Pittman has the Hogs playing their best football since 2016 (their last winning season) and he’s doing it with just 16 games under his belt.

While Sam Pittman did come from the Kirby Smart coaching tree — he served as his offensive line coach from 2016-2019 before being named the Razorbacks head coach — he’s going to have a difficult time besting his former boss.

The Razorbacks have taken down ranked Texas and Texas A&M, so you know they are going to be well prepared, but No. 2 Georgia will prove to be too much for the Hogs to handle.

The Bulldogs have the best defense in college football, allowing their opponents an average of 5.8 points per game. They have one of the best scoring offenses in the country, scoring an average of 42 points per game.

Just ask fellow SEC member Vanderbilt how hard it is to face this Georgia team. The Commodores got absolutely leveled by Georgia 62-0, failing to put up any points against them in Week 4.

This won’t be the end of the gravy train for Arkansas, they’ve still got plenty of opportunities to show why they are a revitalized force to be reckoned with in the SEC this season.

Game info: No. 8 Arkansas travels to Athens to take on No. 2 Georgia on Oct. 2 at 12 p.m. EST on ESPN
