Auburn Football: 3 reasons Tigers will upset Georgia in Week 6
By Shay McBryde
3. The offensive line
This is a major weakness for Auburn. One the fans are very worried about. The line had been playing better up until the LSU game. The Bayou Tigers opened up all their weaknesses. Bo Nix was constantly being pressured and having to make the most out of the world plays to keep the ball alive.
Bo has been getting too much pressure too fast. That needs to change at home against Georgia if they have a shot at all. I believe head coach Bryan Harsin has really pushed that in practice and they will be much better.
They will not only hold the line so Nix can throw some accurate passes but they will also open holes for Tank Bigsby and Jarquez Hunter. The Tigers have to spread out their run game and once they do that takes the pressure off Bo and lets them run the game they want to run.
This is not an offensive line to be extremely confident in. However, Harsin instills in them to get better and better each week. Nix has sprinkled a little “never say die” magic onto everyone. This line is no exception. And the head coach is driving this team to be the best they can be, day in and day out.
Expect no less from this line who will protect Nix at all costs.
