Georgia has a rock-solid resume

At the start of the season, when Georgia football beat Clemson, there was talk about the Bulldogs not even needing to beat Alabama to make the College Football Playoff and that’s probably more true than ever after beating yet another ranked team.

Of course, some of the teams Georgia has beaten aren’t ranked now, but Auburn beat Arkansas and Clemson has been winning again, even though it has been a little ugly.

Still, the Dawgs have dominated their competition. Only two teams have scored double figures and in SEC play, Georgia football is only surrendering five points a game and that’s been against Arkansas, Auburn, and Kentucky, among others.

There are challenges still ahead for Georgia such as Florida (Oct. 30) and the game at Tennessee which is the last hurdle to clinching the SEC East title and that’s assuming the Vols keep winning until then — they play Ole Miss tonight.

But as long as Georgia wins the next five games, it shouldn’t matter what happens in the SEC championship game, because even with one loss, this Georgia team has a killer resume and more than passes the eye test.
