1. Tyler Allgeier responded to the call

A week ago against Baylor, Tyler Allgeier ran for just 33 yards on 15 carries and there was a call for the BYU run game to improve, especially with such a talented back to utilize.

The Cougars were able to lean on the run game against Washington State, putting up 242 yards on 46 carries, averaging over 5.0 per touch. They dominated on the ground which is impressive considering that was a major weakness a week ago.

Allgeier was the star of the show, rushing 32 times for 191 yards and two touchdowns and if not for his performance, BYU probably doesn’t win this one.

The talented running back was the subject of plenty of criticism after last week’s performance, but he quieted all the critics with a fantastic game in Pullman.

This goes along with the fact that BYU has shown incredible resiliency after losing two straight games and being knocked out of the playoff race.
