Defensive End Isaiah Foskey and Linebacker Bo Bauer

Isaiah Foskey was predicted by many people in the offseason to make a huge jump in the 2021 season and those people were right.

Foskey added to his sack total by getting two more on Saturday. He also had five total tackles including the two sacks. The scouts are definitely taking notice of the talented defensive end for Notre Dame for good reason.

USC was driving in the first half against Notre Dame but Bo Bauer and the rest of the defensive unit helped stop the drive. USC quarterback Kedon Slovis had a pass that was tipped at the line of scrimmage and Bauer grabbed it out of the air and returned it 79 yards to the USC four-yard line. Bauer ran out of gas just a tad short as he was tackled by Slovis on the play.

The Notre Dame defense this year has been great in forcing turnovers. Adding the two turnovers from USC on Saturday night the Irish defense now has 16 forced turnovers on the season and still more games to increase that number overall.
