2. Bigsby and Hunter will combine for 160 yards

The running attack has been underperforming. Blame it on the line, not enough awareness, injuries, blame it on whatever you want but there is no excuse for this high level of talent to be underperforming so greatly.

This is the game where they will pop out of that slump. That will in effect allow them to take so much pressure off Bo and the rest of the offense. The only way Auburn gets close to an SEC title this season is to all work cohesively together. Everybody has a job to do and everybody needs to do it. They know what is expected. It’s all about stepping up to the task when the moment arises.

Tank Bigsby is one of the best running backs in the nation but only had 68 yards and one touchdown against Arkansas. He has not had a 100-yard running game since the white-out game at Penn State. Topped with two very poor showings against Georgia and LSU, not achieving even 30 yards rushing and zero touchdowns. It really becomes puzzling because he’s too much of a star and gifted athlete to be seeing those numbers.

Jarquez Hunter is in the same boat with only 10 rushes on 27 yards against the Razorbacks. An even worse showing against Georgia with 18 yards and no touchdowns in both of those games. His first two games of the season were high-level performances. Reaching over 100 yards. Followed by a trio of games with 60 yards plus. It has been underwhelming for the talented freshman since then.

Still one of the best 1-2 quarterbacks in all of College Football. They will get on track this week at home. With the bye week they just had, Brian Harsin has addressed their issues in the backfield and fixed them. He stated they have worked on the run game as they always are. What was good and what was bad and why? And working them against some of the looks that were bad at so they can improve on those situations in the future.

I predict Tank Bigsby to get 105 yards carrying the football and one touchdown. Jarquez Hunter will also have a couple of long runs and add 55 yards. The line will of course need to set their feet quicker but I believe Tank will start out early with a couple of great runs boosting his confidence for the rest of the game. That will in turn allow Hunter to follow suit in ways they have not done in a few games.
