2. Michigan’s ability to prevent big plays

Michigan State is very good at creating explosive plays, but the Spartans seemingly live or die by them on offense. They are not the best team at sustaining drives and making a team earn it and I think that will play right into the Wolverine’s hands.

Michigan has one of the best defenses in the country and they do a very good job at preventing explosive plays. They are going to have to do a good job of that on Saturday going against Kenneth Walker III, who has been one of the best running backs in the nation through this point in the season.

The Spartans have a pair of receivers in Jalen Nailor and Jayden Reed, who are both averaging over 19 yards per catch.

If Michigan can stop the big plays and make Michigan State earn it on offense, then I expect the Wolverines to win the game.
