2. Tar Heels defense is a major weakness

North Carolina has played seven games so far this year. They have only held one opponent to under 100 yards on the ground. That was against the University of Virginia who rushed for only 24 yards, but at the same time threw for 553 yards through the air.

In the other six games, the North Carolina defense has given up at least 124 yards rushing to their opponents. Notre Dame is coming off rushing for 170 yards against USC last week. Kyren Williams led the way for Notre Dame rushing for 138 yards on the ground and two touchdowns.

Last week was the first game that Williams rushed for over 100 yards on the season in 2021. Williams had a very good game rushing for 124 yards and three total touchdowns (two rushing, and one receiving) in 2020 against North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

If you are a betting person I would consider looking at Kyren Williams rushing yards when they post for this matchup and taking the over for it.
