1. Notre Dame is playing its best football right now

Notre Dame played its best football last week against USC. The Irish are 6-1 on the season but against the Trojans, they played a complete game for four quarters for the first time all year.

The quarterback duo of Jack Coan and Tyler Buchner are doing a good job of mixing in the passing and rushing scenarios to keep the defense on its toes, plus the running game and the offensive line are starting to click.

Playing without their star safety in Kyle Hamilton will not be easy. Especially when you are going up against a talent of Sam Howell on the other side. Defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman has the defensive unit playing fast and causing chaos as they have forced 16 turnovers throughout seven games this year.

Notre Dame in its last 28 home games is 27-1 with the one loss coming earlier in the month against Cincinnati. North Carolina is not Cincinnati and would need to play a perfect game on both sides of the ball. Do not see that happening with this Tar Heels team so far in 2021. Irish roll past North Carolina to improve to 7-1 on the season.
