1. Anticipation builds towards the final two games of the season for MSU

After an emotional battle against a fierce rival, there will be two games against Purdue and Maryland up next for the Spartans. These two games can be billed as trap games, but they will be expected to be 10-0 heading into a showdown in Columbus.

Ohio State’s offense has shown no signs of slowing down and appears to be the most dominant unit, in not just the Big Ten but all of College Football. This will be a problem for a team that has allowed 500 total yards of offense twice in the past four games.

With that being said, Michigan State is not 8-0 on accident. This is an excellent team that is poised to make a playoff run for the first time since 2015. Kenneth Walker may be all the boost this team needs to take down Ohio State and make this playoff dream, a reality.

If they can get past Ohio State, they will have another tough game with Penn State coming into East Lansing to close out the season. And of course, a Big Ten Championship appearance will be secured if they can either win out or get some help from others in the conference.

It will be a gauntlet and a tough ask for Michigan State to run the table with no issues. But if they can pull it off, they will find themselves as a playoff team come December.
