Avery Davis – Wide Receiver

The senior wide receiver had five receptions for 51 yards, and a receiving touchdown from Tyler Buchner in the first quarter. Davis also had one rush for 12 yards on the night.

His stats may not jump off the page but Davis really is a reliable target in the passing game and a very good security blanket for the Irish quarterbacks.

Yes, he had one key drop but his teammates picked him up on the next play to get the first down to extend the drive.

The once Notre Dame quarterback in Avery Davis really has transitioned well into being a guy that the Notre Dame coaching staff can rely on week after week.

Would not be shocked to see him get a look at the next level in the NFL whether that be in the slot or a potential special teams guy.
