3. Tom Herman

Ok I admit, this might be a bit of a stretch, but this one makes some level of sense. While Tom Herman did not do as well as originally thought while he was at Texas, he still won games and took the team to the Big 12 title game, and has a Sugar Bowl victory over Georgia under his belt.

Herman is a coach that knows the state of Texas well and is known as a good recruiter. He did not like dealing with the extra stuff that comes with being the coach at Texas, but Herman did do some things right.

TCU is a program that has resources and the administration is committed to winning football games.

This is going to be an attractive job in the new Big 12 and as I mentioned earlier, they need to get out in front and make a great hire so they can fill the void left behind by Texas and Oklahoma. Herman would be a nice hire for the TCU Football program.
