No 3. UTSA football will soon move to a historically bigger, better, and more financially stable Group of Five conference

The third reason for optimism among the Roadrunner faithful is that they will soon be departing the crumbling Conference USA for the historically greener pastures of the American Athletic Conference.

In mid-October, the AAC announced it had accepted membership applications from UTSA and fellow conference mates Rice, North Texas, Charlotte, FAU and UAB.

Joining the conference will enable the Roadrunners to be featured regularly on ESPN and its multitude of linear and streaming platforms, per the AAC television contract agreement.

They’ll be playing schools like Memphis, SMU and South Florida regularly, giving them opportunities for quality wins each season.

Big things are happening for UTSA and you should expect them to continue as time moves on. The Roadrunners have all the tools necessary to build something special in San Antonio.
