8. Notre Dame (7-1)

Week 9 result: Defeated North Carolina 44-34

Speaking of impressive offensive performances, Notre Dame put on a show this weekend. They also had their best offensive game.

Not surprising though given it was against North Carolina’s defense. Still, we’ve got to give the Fighting Irish some credit because they are not designed to win shootouts like these but held on with a 10 point win.

Jack Coan went toe to toe with Sam Howell and actually looked very good. He even scrambled for a 21-yard touchdown run which is not his forte.

This was also the second straight game that running back Kyren Williams went off in. He is finally carrying the ball well and broke out for a 91 yard score in the 4th quarter. For as bad as Notre Dame has looked at times this year, they still only have one loss and could make a real playoff push down the stretch if they win out.

Next game: vs Navy

My prediction: Win 28-14
