Loser: Michigan State (Down to 8th)

Michigan State was only a slight favorite on the road against Purdue and on Saturday, the Spartans could not keep their undefeated season alive. Purdue is known for being able to take down top-ranked teams and they did just that by beating the Spartans by double digits and getting to bowl eligibility.

Spartans running back Kenneth Walker III still looked like a Heisman Trophy candidate, but it was not enough for Michigan State.

The Spartans still have a big showdown against Ohio State in a couple of weeks and that could put them right back in the race for a playoff spot and the Big Ten Championship.

Loser: Wake Forest (Down to 13th)

Wake Forest was the other undefeated team that fell on Saturday. In what was actually a non-conference game, North Carolina beat the Demon Deacons in the most entertaining game of the day, 58-55.

This was the second straight season that Wake Forest has blown a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter against North Carolina.
