3. Kurt Hinish, defensive tackle

The Notre Dame defense played outstanding as a unit not allowing Navy to find the end zone the whole game. There were many players who played well and had great games but one defender who stuck out the most was Kurt Hinish as he was able to anchor and force tons of pressure all afternoon long.

Kurt Hinish has had a great Notre Dame career so far and that continued on Saturday against Navy. He finished the game with 10 tackles including one sack.

This was a career high for the fifth year senior out of the Pittsburgh area. Before Saturday, Hinish career high in tackles was five which happened earlier this year against Virginia Tech.
