10. Notre Dame (8-1)

Week 10 result: Defeated Navy 34-6

The Navy triple-option did not fool the Fighting Irish on Saturday. Navy has proven to be a tough matchup for most teams but they were no match for Notre Dame.

The Irish are playing their best ball of the season and are clicking on both sides right now.

This defense held Navy to an abysmal 26 percent on third-down conversions. They tried to hold the ball to slow down the Irish, but they simply couldn’t even get in the end zone.

Notre Dame has been looking for a wide receiver to step up all season long and they may have finally found one. Kevin Austin Jr. made a name for himself in this one. He caught all six of his targets going for 139 yards and a touchdown. This resulted in a PFF grade of 75.6 on the day.

Notre Dame still only has that one loss to Cincinnati which is actually helping the Bearcats’ case. But it will still be tough for the Irish to finish with one loss as they’ll travel to Charlottesville next to take on an extremely good Virginia offense on the road.

Next game: vs. Virginia
My prediction: Lose 42-40
