2. Alabama (8-1)

Week 10 result: Defeated LSU 20-14

Give credit to LSU in this one. They really put up a great fight and held the Tide in check on offense for the most part. Alabama’s defense just came up big in the end and proved to be too much for the Tigers.

Outside of the defense stepping up, there wasn’t too much to be happy about if you’re a Crimson Tide fan. This team continues to show flaws and is clearly not the same team it was a year ago. They were literally held to six total rushing yards. I can’t remember the last time Alabama struggled that badly to run the football given some of the backs who have come through their program.

They are fairly one-dimensional on offense and will need to find a more balanced attack if they want to have a chance against Georgia in the SEC championship.

But the Crimson Tide can’t even think about that potential matchup just yet as they still have to take care of business their final three games. This team is definitely beatable and can be upset on any given Saturday if they are not careful.

Next game: vs. New Mexico State
My prediction: Win 56-0
