4. Oregon (8-1)

Week 10 result: Defeated Washington 26-16

Oregon was probably more excited about the College Football Playoff rankings than most teams. They have been put in a prime position to make the playoff as they control their own destiny. That win against Ohio State is proving to be huge for them.

To me, Oregon doesn’t pass the eye test as they usually grind out fairly close wins week in and week out. But at this point in the season, it doesn’t matter as long as you win. And that’s all the Ducks care about.

They win by pounding the run and dominating defensively. Travis Dye has turned into a superstar for the Ducks now taking over for CJ Verdell who was injured earlier this season. Dye is a do-it-all back who went off for 211 rushing yards and a touchdown. He will need to continue to carry the load for this offense as they have struggled to throw the ball at times.

Next game: vs. Washington State
My prediction: Win 36-17
