College Football Playoff Top 10: Week 10 recap, previewing Week 11
By Mitch Kaiser
6. Cincinnati (9-0)
Week 10 result: Defeated Tulsa 28-20
Welp, Cincinnati appears to be in a bit of a funk right now. They sure picked the wrong time to play like this too as they need to impress the playoff committee at all costs. The committee is clearly not impressed with them right now given their No. 6 ranking. They’re lucky everyone else above them struggled this weekend outside of Georgia.
The Bearcats looked like they were rolling early on getting out to a quick 14-0 lead. It seemed like they were going to blow this Tulsa team out. But sadly, they let the Golden Hurricane hang around all game allowing nearly 300 rushing yards.
The Bearcats even gave them two goal-line chances to tie the game at the end. Luckily, their defense held strong which has been their focal point all season long.
Cincinnati’s offense though is definitely in a slump right now. They need to figure it out fast as they are running out of time. Yes, the Bearcats are still undefeated, but they have not looked like a playoff team these past three weeks.
Next game: vs. USF
My prediction: Win 38-17
