College Football Playoff Top 10: Week 10 recap, previewing Week 11
By Mitch Kaiser
7. Michigan (8-1)
Week 10 result: Defeated Indiana 29-7
Michigan got back on track this weekend with a 22-point win over Indiana. This was important for the Wolverines to not have a letdown game after losing a big rivalry game. This is a team that still has a legitimate shot at the playoff if they can win out so it was good for Jim Harbaugh to rally his guys this week.
The defense played much better this week and totally limited the run. I know it was against Indiana and not the Heisman frontrunner, but still, this is how you should look against an inferior opponent.
Defensive end Aidan Hutchinson continues to dominate every week and he is making a clear push to be a top 10 pick in the NFL draft. He had an 86.8 PFF grade in this one and is still one of the highest-graded edge defenders in the entire country.
Quarterback Cade McNamara hasn’t had to do too much this season but is actually playing his best ball of the year right now. He’s nearly doubled his amount of touchdown passes on the season in the last two games alone. He will most likely need to throw the ball a lot more these final three weeks as he will face both Penn State and Ohio State’s defense
Next game: vs. Penn State
My prediction: Lose 20-17
