3. Baylor made Caleb Williams look like a true freshman quarterback.

A hard truth about college football is that every freshman quarterback will not come in and take the world by storm like Trevor Lawrence. Most freshman quarterbacks have the tools to be great but need some development to live up to their potential.

Caleb Williams came into the Texas game and led the Sooners to one of the great comebacks in Red River history. Since that tremendous comeback, Williams has looked, well, like a freshman. There have been times when Williams looks like the second coming; others seem confused.

Today’s game against Baylor was one of those moments where Williams looked like a freshman. The Washington D.C. native finished the game 10-for-19 for 149 yards, throwing two interceptions. Baylor had a great game plan against Williams and the Sooners.

The Baylor defense mixed and disguised coverage and their blitz package all game. Most importantly, the Bears spied Williams all game. Baylor safety Jalen Pitre spied Williams most of the game.

The Bears kept Williams in the pocket during obvious passing downs, not allowing him to run for first downs. That led to four sacks and two interceptions.
