Matt Corral will battle but will be uneven

Matt Corral has been a warrior this season for Ole Miss football. He’s been injured, and many of his receivers have been too, so it’s been a revolving door in terms of passing targets.

And this Texas A&M defense is going to be the best that Corral has faced all season and he wasn’t all that spectacular against Alabama or Auburn with just one touchdown and one interception.

Corral has been really great about taking care of the ball and has only thrown two interceptions this season but he’s also hasn’t faced a pass rush quite like the Aggies’ with Demarvin Neal, Tyree Johnson, and others.

Corral is going to have a solid game. He’ll run the ball and he put up some yards passing probably around 300 or so total yards, but he’s going to get hit (a lot) and I see Ole Miss trailing, so I think he’ll have to take some risks and will wind up throwing his third interception of the season.

This will be the last stand for his Heisman campaign and we’ll see if Corral can keep it afloat but a loss and an uneven showing, which is what I’m predicting, could end it.
