Aggies make a statement

Isaiah Spiller is one of the most electrifying running backs in the SEC and he’s going to make some big plays in this one, breaking off a long run or two.

Zach Calzada has been steady ever since beating Alabama and was 15-of-29 last week against Auburn but didn’t make any mistakes and that’s the key. He doesn’t have to be spectacular like Corral will have to be. He just needs to get the ball to his playmakers and avoid mistakes.

That will be easier to do against the Ole Miss defense than it will be for Corral against A&M, especially with so many Rebels banged up.

And as I’ve been saying, Texas A&M is a team that could start climbing up in the rankings. If Alabama loses to Auburn and the Aggies win out, they would advance to the SEC title game and so really, they are one Bama loss away from controlling their playoff destiny.

So keep an eye on this team. Others will start after an impressive win tonight.
