1. The road ahead is clear as day

With just two (potentially 3) games left to go, most teams are looking for clarity to see where they align in the conference or playoff race. For Ohio State, it is much simpler than the rest of these bubble teams.

If the Buckeyes win their next two games, they will find themselves in the Big Ten Championship. If they go 1-1, they will need a loss from whoever beats them sometime over the next two weeks.

In terms of the playoff push, there is far less room for error. Considering they already have one loss, a second one should eliminate them from consideration.

There has never been a two loss team in the current CFP format, and with all the top teams holding on this week that seems to remain the case.

While the road is clear, do not mistake that for easy. Michigan and Michigan State have had fantastic seasons and feature strong rushing attacks.

Ohio State’s rushing defense was shredded in the first two games, but the Buckeyes rebounded and have allowed under 100 rushing yards in four of the last five games.

Get past those two teams from the state we cannot mention, and the Buckeyes will have a shot to  win the Big Ten and get back to the playoff for the third straight season.
