3. Oregon (9-1)

Week 11 result: Defeated Washington State 38-24

Oregon got out to a hot start this Saturday going up 14-0 in the first. Travis Dye scored both of those touchdowns for the Ducks, one rushing and one receiving. They pumped the breaks a little and let the Cougars tie the game at half. After that though, the Ducks never looked back and dominated in the second half.

They used long, steady drives and pounded the run which proved to eventually be too much for Washington State’s defense. Quarterback Anthony Brown ran for over 100 yards for the first time all season and looked pretty good in this one.

You also can’t forget about defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux who could potentially be the first overall pick next spring. Since returning from injury, he has showed out in just about every game. This one was no different as he recorded six solo tackles and two sacks which resulted in a PFF grade of 74.3. His presence alone on the football field makes this defense scary for any team as he is a nightmare for every opposing lineman.

Oregon now has their toughest conference test yet as they’ll go on the road to face the red-hot Utah Utes next weekend.

Next game: vs. Utah
Prediction: Lose 33-25
