8. Oklahoma (9-1)

Week 11 result: Lost to Baylor 27-14

It seemed inevitable that this would eventually happen. The Sooners finally slipped up and let one get away. They had been escaping close calls all year long but appeared to have finally flown too close to the sun and dropped a game.

Oklahoma is certainly going to fall in the Week 12 CFP rankings but they still sit at No. 8 heading into Tuesday night. Given that the committee didn’t seem to have too much respect for them as it is, this loss will likely end Oklahoma’s playoff chances.

This game was an all-around mess for the Sooners. After scoring the first touchdown of the game, they couldn’t get anything going on offense. Caleb Williams was even benched for Spencer Rattler in the fourth quarter because he was playing so poorly. It would’ve been something special if Rattler came in and delivered a comeback, but he didn’t do any better against the Bears.

Credit Baylor’s defense which shut down this Sooners’ offense which is extremely hard to do. This was the least amount of points that Oklahoma has scored since their bowl game against Clemson all the way back in 2014.

Next game: vs. Iowa State
Prediction: Win 37-27
