Heisman Trophy Candidate No. 1: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

Among all the Heisman candidates in 2021, Bryce Young of Alabama has been the most consistent. He’s third in the nation in touchdown passes with 33 and hasn’t had a single game without throwing at least two touchdowns this season.

Young has also never thrown more than one interception in a game and has just three total for the season. The former five-star recruit has six 300-yard games this season for Alabama and in the past four games, Young has thrown 13 touchdowns compared to zero interceptions.

The schedule gets tougher with Arkansas and Auburn up the next two weeks, as well as Georgia after that in the SEC title game if things all go according to plan.

Young does have a big win over Corral and Ole Miss and while some of the other big wins on Bama’s schedule don’t look as good now, if Young can continue to produce the way he has over the next three weeks and lead Bama past Georgia, he will be very tough to beat, regardless of what anyone else on the list does.
