Georgia Football: 3 bold predictions vs Charleston Southern
By Mitch Kaiser
3. Charleston Southern will not score a point
I don’t even know if you can consider this one a bold prediction. Georgia has held two opponents scoreless this season but is only allowing 7.6 points per game leading the NCAA. So it may not be all that bold to predict a Georgia shutout this Saturday, but I’ll still do it anyway.
I don’t think Charleston Southern will score at all against this defense. They have never seen a group of athletes like this and they will not be ready for what Kirby Smart is going to throw at them. Even when the backups come in, it will still be tough to move the ball enough to even get into field goal range.
It’s not that the Buccaneers’ offense is bad. They’re averaging 26.4 points per game and certainly haven’t lost many games because of their offense. It’s just that’s good how this Georgia defense is.
They haven’t faced anything close to this level of competition and it will be a rude awakening for them. All due respect to Charleston Southern, I sadly predict that they will not score a point this weekend.
