Jack Coan is the perfect fit for Notre Dame in 2021

Bringing in transfer quarterback Jack Coan raised some eyebrows when he committed to play the 2021 season in South Bend. With big-time quarterback recruit, Tyler Buchner coming in many expected him to just be given the job right from start. Buchner was clearly not ready to just be the starter right away and Coan has been everything that the Irish could have asked for this year.

Jack Coan had some ups and downs to the start the season which had people around college football wanting to see more of Tyler Buchner or even Drew Pyne under center. Coan was benched against Virginia Tech until Buchner got hurt and the graduate transfer in Jack Coan helped come in and rally the Irish to a huge comeback win.

Ever since coming back in against Virginia Tech Jack Coan really has been one of the best quarterbacks in the country. He is being efficient, getting time to throw, not turning it over often, plus even has shown that he can run it after a surprising long touchdown run against North Carolina.

In limited play due to the score, he finished the day against Georgia Tech still impressively going 15/20 for 285 passing yards with 2 touchdown passes.

The coaching staff absolutely nailed bringing in Jack Coan to finish out his college career in a Notre Dame uniform. Still has at least two more games to go but Coan has had a very good year overall for Notre Dame to help ease the transition over to Tyler Buchner next season.
