4. Ole Miss at Mississippi State (-2) Thursday 7:30 PM EST, ESPN

The Egg Bowl has everything you could want in a game during Rivalry Week. There are two interesting head coaches, two talented quarterbacks, and two teams hungry for a win.

Beyond winning the Egg Bowl which is always huge for both programs, the winner of this game will finish second in the SEC West and if Ole Miss wins and gets victory No. 10, it could be headed to the Sugar Bowl or at least one of the New Year’s Six games.

Mississippi State can’t move that far up the bowl pecking order but a win would get Mike Leach’s team to 8-4 and likely in the top 25 of the CFP rankings. Will Rogers will be throwing the ball a lot and frankly, he could win the QB battle with Heisman contender Matt Corral.

Corral hasn’t been all that sharp in recent weeks. And Mississippi State has a very good run defense, which means the Ole Miss QB will have to do more than he has.

But the Rebels defense is stellar too, especially when it comes to pressuring the quarterback and Ole Miss won’t see its season spoiled by the Bulldogs.

Score: Ole Miss 23, Mississippi State 20
