Ranking the 25 worst games of past Heisman trophy winners: 13. Tim Tebow

  • 2007 Season stats: 3,286 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, 6 interceptions, 895 rushing yards, 23 rushing touchdowns
  • Worst game: 158 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interceptions

Outside of his first year in college, Tim Tebow was always in the mix in terms of winning the Heisman. In three of his four years, he finished no lower than fifth. In 2007, he took home the award for the first and only time of his career.

Believe it or not, Tebow was extremely accurate that season. He completed 66.9% of his passes for 3,286 passing yards. He was also great on the ground, rushing for 895 yards and 23 scores. Essentially, Tebow was both the best quarterback in the country and the best running back.

But, during a close loss at the hands of LSU, Tebow wasn’t himself. He went just 12 of 26 and 158 yards. He did throw two touchdowns but also had an interception as well. He may have been pretty bad but considering how terrible some of these other performances on this list have been so far, Tebow was at least pretty decent.
