Ranking the 25 worst games of past Heisman trophy winners: 6. Eric Crouch

  • 2001 Season stats: 1,510 passing yards, 55.6% completion percentage
  • Worst game: 6-9 for 88 passing yards

We have to be honest here, Eric Crouch is one of the most least deserving Heisman Trophy winners of all time. The former Nebraska quarterback nabbed the award in 2001 but had himself some pretty underwhelming stats.

Crouch finished the year with just 1,510 passing yards. He also completed only 55.6% of his passes. To make matters worse, Crouch threw a pathetic seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Regardless of how bad he was that season, he took home the award.

In his worst performance of the year, Crouch had a complete dud in a blowout win over Notre Dame. Crouch threw the ball only nine times, completing six of them. In total, Crouch only threw for 88 passing yards. While he might’ve been terrible that game, truth be told, Crouch was pretty bad every game he played.
