Advantages

Can someone tell Washington State athletic director Patrick Chun to take the interim off of Jake Dickert’s title? The former defensive coordinator has done a wonderful job in Pullman considering the circumstances in which he took the job.

Washington State is a place where you can win. Mike Price won 10 games three times and went to two Rose Bowls. What Price did at Washington State earned him a job at Alabama, though he never coached a game there.

Even Bill Doba won 10 games in Pullman.

Washington State has a great fan base who support the team and fill the stadium. The Cougars have some resources and they recruit the islands fairly well.

Mike Leach and now Jake Dickert have found out that you can win at Washington State with the right system. Pullman is a place where you can develop players and have some success.

Disadvantages

Washington State is in a small town, unlike big brother Washington. Pullman is on the border of Washington and Idaho. When Leach coached at Washington State, he actually lived in Moscow, Idaho.

Pullman is a hard place to get to which makes it difficult to recruit. Washington has always found success being a special prep, running spread offenses under Price, Leach, and now Dickert. Washington State is not a place where you are going to win a national title but you can have some success.
