Predicting the final 2021 Heisman Trophy Rankings

For all the success Alabama football has had over the years, if Young does win the 2021 Heisman Trophy it will be a historic event for the Tide on two fronts.

For one, Young will be the first Alabama quarterback to ever win the Heisman Trophy. It’s hard to believe that but the early years of Nick Saban were more about the running game and defense. Then, Devonta Smith won the award as a receiver last year.

But outside of a huge upset, Young will win the award and it will be just the fourth time in the history of the Heisman Trophy that it has been won by the same school in back-to-back years, most recently with Oklahoma as Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray won the award in 2017 and 2018.

Young has lived up to his billing as a five-star recruit and he’s likely going to be a No. 1 pick. However, he will have the chance to win a second straight Heisman in 2022.

Hutchinson is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft but he will also finish second, at least according to these predictions, followed by Stroud and Pickett.
