See the best wide receiver you’ve never heard of in the Boca Raton Bowl 2021

Just like most don’t realize that Bailey Zappe is one of the leading quarterbacks in the country, Western Kentucky wide receiver Jerreth Sterns.

Sterns has recorded more receptions and more receiving yards than anyone else in college football. That’s right, more than household names like Alabama’s Jameson Williams, Pittsburgh’s Jordan Addison, or North Carolina’s Josh Downs.

Sterns has been playing at an elite level for just about the entire season. He’s recorded nine games of 100+ receiving yards or more.

In total, he finished the season with 1,718 yards and 14 touchdowns. He caught 137 passes, which was 35 more passes than the next players Makai Polk (Mississippi State) and Josh Downs (North Carolina).

Many were surprised to see Sterns being left off the list of finalists for the 2021 Biletnikoff Award, so expect Sterns to come out with a chip on his shoulder and ready to take over this game.
