4. Gator Bowl (Wake Forest vs. Texas A&M)

The Gator Bowl just might be the most underrated matchup of the bowl season due to its two surprisingly-relevant participants.

The No. 17 ACC runner-up Wake Forest Demon Deacons will be duking it out with the No. 25 Texas A&M Aggies (-7) in a matchup that most analysts would probably have some trouble making heads or tails of.

At 10-3, Wake Forest has held its own with one of the nation’s top passing offenses. While the Aggies can’t say the same for themselves, they have a win over top-ranked Alabama (something that no other team has on its resume this season).

But since establishing those accolades, Deacs quarterback Sam Hartman has been an interception machine while A&M has lost to their last two FBS-level opponents. The winner of this one depends solely on which versions of these powers we’ll see on New Year’s Eve.
