5. Hawai’i Bowl Trophy
The Hawai’i Bowl has only been around in the 21st century, with its 19th edition of the game taking place this year. However, the game has a great trophy symbolizing its location perfectly. A football made to look like a pineapple.
In addition to an awesome trophy, the Hawai’i Bowl has perhaps the best MVP trophy. A full-sized oar is unique, to say the least.
The Hawai’i Bowl has ties to the Mountain West and since 2019, the American Conference. Teams from Conference USA, Pac-12, and the old WAC conferences have also played in the game. Traditionally the game has been played on Christmas Eve.
Due to logistics, if Hawaii is bowl eligible they are automatically the Mountain West representative in the game unless the Rainbow Warriors are selected for the New Year’s Six or previously the BCS. Because of this, the Rainbow Warriors do have the most appearances in the game and will be making their 10th appearance this year when they take on Memphis.
