Early National Signing Day projected winner: Alabama

Why is Alabama so hard to beat? It’s easy. Nick Saban is a master recruiter, just as he’s a master technician on the field. He drops a game and a recruiting battle every now and again, but not often.

And the Crimson Tide is once again in contention for the top spot in the 2022 team rankings. Alabama should have another big day on early signing day too. Even if it misses out on Domani Jackson on Friday, it’s going to be a good couple of days for the Crimson Tide.

Shazz Preston, the No. 3 wideout in 2022 according to the 247 sports composite rankings is expected to announce for Alabama Wednesday, as are top-100 defensive back Earl Little Jr. and defensive lineman Jihaad Campbell (according to crystal ball projections), which is a head-to-head battle with A&M.

Alabama could land a slew of other four-star prospects and just like the Aggies, Georgia, Ohio State, and others, the blue-chip ratio (percentage of recruits who are four or five stars) is through the roof.
