Early National Signing Day Winner No. 3: Texas

The Texas Longhorns had a disastrous finish to their season, going 5-7, and losing to Kansas. However, that did not seem to affect the Longhorns on the recruiting trail.

Texas is going to finish with a top-five class today and the Longhorns set themselves up well for a bounce-back season in 2022.

The biggest recruit for Texas was not even in this class but was a transfer from the 2021 class. Getting quarterback Quinn Ewers to come to Austin after leaving Ohio State was the biggest recruiting win for Steve Sarkisian and Ewers should be the favorite to start next season.

Texas got one of the top offensive tackles in the country in Kelvin Banks and got other quality players up-front.

One of the biggest flips of the day was Texas getting cornerback Terrance Brooks to flip from Ohio State. This was a good day for the Longhorns as they landed the top class in the Big 12.
